AN Ashby-based property consultancy has made 17 promotions at its head office, including a new partner, after a busy six months for the firm.

Fisher German LLP made the promotions following a summer that has seen housebuilding, energy and devolution all thrust further up the political agenda, resulting in many companies needing informed advice from trusted consultants.

The promotions at the Ashby head office, based at the Ivanhoe Business Park, make up more than a third of the 50 made across the business.

In the planning team, Andrew Johnson is now a Senior Associate Planner, and Ethan Glover and Jabu Phiri have been made Senior Planners.

There have been six promotions within the infrastructure team, including Abi Hicklin’s promotion to Senior Associate and Alex Clift to Lead Liaison Officer.

In rural property management, Lucy Bland has become an Associate, Harriet Cooper a Senior Surveyor and Holly Anderson a Senior Property Administrator.

Matt Bristow has been made a Senior Surveyor in the telecoms team, and Imogen Bell is now People Operations Coordinator.

Jenny Occleshaw has been promoted to Partner, while Marc Strydom and Ellie Chadwick have both become Associate Partners.

Jenny joined Fisher German’s planning team in Ashby as a graduate in 2010. She now leads the firm’s Infrastructure Planning Team, a team of specialist planners advising infrastructure and energy clients across the UK on water, gas, electricity, oil, fibre, and renewable energy schemes.

Her role covers client relationships, strategic planning advice, planning applications and consenting strategies, as well as growing and developing the team.

Jenny said: “I am extremely pleased and proud to have been promoted to Partner. It is a significant milestone in my career and reflects both the opportunities Fisher German has given me and the hard work of the talented team I am fortunate to work alongside.

“Fisher German has supported me at every stage of my career, from joining as a graduate and completing my professional qualifications through to becoming Partner. In that time, I have seen the firm grow significantly in scale and capability, while keeping a supportive and collaborative culture.

“For anyone thinking about joining Fisher German or starting out in their career, it is a business that invests in its people, offers excellent opportunities for professional development and encourages people to build rewarding long-term careers.”

The promotions have been made across many levels and specialisms, reflecting Fisher German’s commitment to career growth.

Its Managing Partner Andrew Bridge, who first joined Fisher German as a graduate, said: “With the shifting needs of our clients thanks to government policy changes and evolving markets, it has been great to see so many of our colleagues step up to the challenge.

“We have always rewarded those at Fisher German who perform well, and it is heartening to be making 50 promotions as we head into the final quarter of the year.

“I’d like to congratulate all those who have been promoted - all are thoroughly deserving of their success.”

Phil Winckles, Partner and Chair of Fisher German’s Appointments Committee, added: “It is always enjoyable seeing so many colleagues progress through the business.

“Everyone who moves up within Fisher German has earned the right to do so thanks to their hard work, consistently high performance and desire to deliver for their clients and colleagues.

“These promotions highlight the fantastic work our people do every day, and I am incredibly proud to play just a small part in that process.”
