POLICE and fire services were called to a car that crashed into a wall in Ashby on Wednesday night.

The incident happened on Upper Packington Road, close to the railway bridge, and saw the vehicle demolish the brickwork of a nearby home’s garden.

However, it was made clear that nobody was injured in the collision.

North West Leicestershire Police posted a photo of the incident on their Facebook page - and admitted it is a mystery as to how the collision occurred.

They wrote: “The NN46 Beat Team and colleagues attended this single-vehicle collision in Ashby.

“Whilst it was unusually warm weather, and people would’ve been eager to get in the garden, we’re still not quite sure how this collision occurred!

“We are very happy to report that there were no serious injuries though.”
