Conkers set to light up the sky once again next month

CONKERS will be lighting up the National Forest as its popular Fireworks Spectacular returns for two nights of family entertainment next month.

The annual event, on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November, will see Overseal Pyrotechnics return to CONKERS for two dazzling fireworks displays, alongside a laser show, live entertainment and a range of activities for the whole family.

Visitors can enjoy an evening packed with entertainment before the main fireworks display lights up the night sky at 7.30pm.

Alongside the main display, families can enjoy small fairground amusements and games, Conkachoo train rides, a Glow Stand and a dedicated Family Sparkler Station and Safety Sparkler Zone.

Walkabout entertainers will be making their way around the attraction throughout the evening, adding to the atmosphere ahead of the firework finale.

There will also be street food stalls, cafés and licensed bars open throughout the evening, offering a selection of hot food and drinks.

Nicky Carlton, General Manager at CONKERS, said: “Our Fireworks Spectacular is always one of the highlights of the year at CONKERS and we can’t wait to welcome families back for two fantastic evenings. There’s so much to enjoy before the main display, from fairground fun and train rides to sparklers and entertainment, before we light up the sky with a spectacular show.”

Doors open at 5pm, with the main show beginning at 7.30pm. Free parking is available at CONKERS Discovery Centre, Rawdon Road, DE12 6GA.

Standard tickets cost £14.50 for adults and concessions, £12 for children aged two to 16 and £5 for under-twos and carers. A family ticket for two adults and two children is available for £50, while CONKERS members can receive a 10% discount when booking.
